Rhead Group

The Rhead Group has come a long way since it was founded by Alan Rhead in 1985, drawing on the expertise he gained while working in the global oil and gas markets.

The name of this Warwick-based company is now known around the world. Its multi-disciplinary team of professionals deliver complex construction projects in sectors including oil, gas, electricity, power, regeneration, water, rail and cable.

Today the company has a portfolio of international programmes valued at around £4 billion servicing blue chip clients such as National Grid, Amec and SmithKline Beecham.

Throughout its growth, the Rhead Group has stayed loyal to Murphy Salisbury. The firm has been the group’s accountants since day one, tailoring its services to support the business as it has developed and expanded.

Director and company secretary Barbara Moore, who heads the finance and human resource functions of the Rhead Group, and her colleagues draw on the expertise of partners Paul Salisbury, Bobby Gupta and Mark Bullock for accountancy, audit, taxation and business advice.

Barbara says: “The relationship is a flexible one. We rely on Murphy Salisbury to provide day to day support with bookkeeping and payroll through to more complex issues such as setting up new companies within the group, enterprise management incentive schemes and potential acquisitions.

“When we need them, they are always there with solid and sound advice. Importantly, Murphy Salisbury has been able to support us as we have grown. We are now a successful multi-million pound business operating on a global basis.

“It is a strategic partnership in which we can rely on Murphy Salisbury to deliver the advice that we need when we need it. The relationship works because Murphy Salisbury has the services, the advice – and the people – we need.”
