Accountants Hit Right Note with Music and Sport Sponsorship
Warwickshire
accountants Murphy Salisbury swapped tricky tax issues for Gypsy
tango as part of their support for October's
Stratford on Avon Music Festival.
As a corporate sponsor of the festival, which ran from 10-19 October, the Stratford-upon-Avon accountancy firm was invited to send a party of guests to a performance by ZUM on 17 October, at the Shakespeare Hotel.
The band brought together the passion of Argentinian tango and fiery Gypsy violins to create a unique blend of folk music traditions. Other festival highlights included performances by jazz legend Acker Bilk and Paramount Jazz, the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain and acclaimed classical pianist John Lill.
Murphy Salisbury has a long-standing policy of supporting local arts and sports organisations. As well as the Stratford on Avon Music Festival, the firm provides sponsorship for Leamington Football Club, Stratford Town Football Club, Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club, Stratford-upon-Avon Rugby Club and Old Leamingtonians Rugby Club.
The firm also sponsors Stratford-upon-Avon Boat Club’s annual summer regatta, which takes place on the River Avon.
Murphy Salisbury partner Paul Salisbury said: “We have been established in Stratford for 30 years and feel very much a part of the life of both the town and the wider Warwickshire community, through our work and connections with county businesses and other professional advisers. We see providing sponsorship for local arts and sports organisations and events as an important part of giving something back to that community.”
