Sponsorship adds up for local teams
Accountants are not usually associated with being sporty, but Stratford-upon-Avon based firm Murphy Salisbury is hoping to change all that.
They are helping no less than four local teams this season and a local golf club in a bid to further boost their support for their local community.
Stratford Rugby Club, Leamington Cricket Club, the Old Leamingtonians, Stratford Football Club and Stratford Golf Club are all benefiting from their backing.
Earlier this year Murphy Salisbury also stepped in to help with the Stratford-Upon-Avon Boat Club’s regatta, the Stratford River Festival and the Stratford Music Festival, but are also delighted to be sponsoring teams that are close to the hearts of local people.
Bobby Gupta, partner at Murphy Salisbury, said:
“We are committed to supporting clubs in the area wherever possible, and we are especially pleased to be involved in promoting sport to people of all ages.
“These clubs are at the centre of the community. The atmosphere there is fantastic – really friendly and positive – so we are delighted to be involved.”
