Exam successes add up to quintuple celebration at Murphy Salisbury

Stratford-based chartered accountancy firm Murphy Salisbury is seeing its investment in staff development pay off after five of its trainees passed their latest exams with flying colours.

Chris Ingram, Richard Hartwell and Paul Reynolds, who are based in the firm’s Business Services department, are all studying for their Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.

Chris has passed his F2 Management Accounting paper under the ‘knowledge’ category – the first exam in his ACCA studies. Richard has passed P2 Corporate Reporting, under the ‘essentials’ category, while Paul Reynolds has passed his F9 Financial Management ‘skills’ exam and P2 Corporate Reporting and P3 Business Analysis papers, which both fall under the ‘essentials’ category.

Also in the Business Services department, Alison Starkey has passed the Level 3 Diploma stage of her AAT, while Karl Goddard has passed his final AAT exams. He will now start working towards his ACCA qualification.

Senior partner Steve Smith said: “At Murphy Salisbury, we have always viewed staff training as a valuable investment in the future of the firm and I am delighted that Chris, Richard, Paul, Alison and Karl have done so well.

“On behalf of everyone at Murphy Salisbury, I would like to congratulate them on their exam success and wish them all the best in their future studies as they move a step closer to becoming fully qualified accountants.”
