Single-tier state pension

The introduction of the Government’s single-tier state pension has given way to a full flat rate of £155.65 per week – paid to all those who have been paying National Insurance for at least 35 years prior to retirement.

Taxpayers who have been contributing towards a second state pension are entitled to receive a little more.

However, anyone with between 10 and 35 years of contributions could potentially receive less.

Our team of chartered accountants in Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwickshire can identify how the single-tier state pension affects you, and what you can do in order to reduce your tax bills.
